May 17, 2017: The new Miss USA was crowed last night. The winner was Kára McCullough, a 25-year-old African-American nuclear chemist from Washington, DC. But it wasn’t her BEAUTY or her brains that have people talking – it’s her POLITICS.
You see Kara is a “proud” conservative and a “proud” Trump supporter. She told the audience how she doesn’t necessarily view herself as a feminist and said that health care is a privilege and not a right.
She was asked what she thought about Healthcare and she responded, “As a government employee, I’m granted health care. And I see firsthand that for one, to have health care, you need to have jobs, so therefore we need to continue to cultivate this environment so that we’re given the opportunities to have health care as well as jobs for all Americans worldwide,” she explained.
Kara said she will be discussing with her supervisor at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (where she works) whether she will take a leave of absence from her job during her one-year reign.
